Wetherby Wall Systems Appoints Simeon Gabriel as Managing Director

Appointment follows founder Bob Deane’s retirement after more than five decades in the industry.

Wetherby Wall Systems, a prominent provider of external wall insulation and façade solutions, has appointed Simeon Gabriel as Managing Director.

The appointment follows the decision of founder, Bob Deane, to retire after more than five decades of service to the industry.

Bob Deane established Wetherby Wall Systems, formerly known as Wetherby Building Systems prior to its 2024 acquisition by the ROCKWOOL Group. He has played a pivotal role in establishing Wetherby as one of the country’s most respected suppliers of insulation and façade solutions.

“Securing the future of Wetherby has always been my top priority,” said Bob Deane. “Joining the ROCKWOOL Group was a carefully considered step to ensure the company could continue to thrive long after my retirement. I am delighted to hand over the leadership to someone of Simeon’s experience and capability. I have every confidence that he will take the business forward successfully.”

Simeon Gabriel joins Wetherby Wall Systems with extensive senior management experience and a strong international background. He has a proven track record of leading organisations through periods of expansion, operational improvement and strategic change.

“The need for safe, sustainable building design has never been greater in the UK. Wetherby Wall Systems is an exceptional company with a proud heritage and reputation for combining high-performance, non-combustible façade solutions with market-leading technical support.” said Simeon Gabriel. “I look forward to using my experience from other industries to drive Wetherby’s growth and innovation, while maintaining the personal service and technical excellence so valued by our specification and installation partners.”
