I do like a tidy desk. Cables and charging leads are the bane of every tech-lover, and I’m always keen to test a device that will consolidate several devices into one unit. So the Belkin Boost Charge Pro was high on my list of things to try.
Aimed very much at the Apple Devotee, and with a minimalist design that will suit that style, it’s a charging stand capable of taking on three tasks in one go.
So you can slap your iPhone 12 or 13 on the 15w wireless magnetic fast-charging module, bung your Airpods case on a pad in the middle and still have a space for your Apple Watch.
Ideal for a bedside table or a desktop, it has a chunky plug but it sits really nicely on a flat surface and, true to form with Belkin, it feels beautifully made.
It’s been updated now to offer a much faster wireless charging system for the new Apple Watch 7 and that magnetic charger, incidentally, flips up to enable you to see the watch in its night-stand mode. Which means not only is this superb charging device useable for charging, it can also double as a bedside clock.
It has to be said, of course, there are a plethora of three-way charging devices on the market and the Belkin Boost Charge Pro’s price of £139.99 does mean it’s one of the most expensive you’ll see.
But it does have some important features, not least the fact it can charge three devices simultaneously, and it now has that impressive fast watch charger.
And, let’s face it, if you’ve invested in a suite of the latest Apple hardware, you’re clearly not too worried about paying a premium for quality kit. And that’s what stands out about this impressive charging station.
It might be pricey, but if you want something attractive that’s clearly built to last, then it’s worth every penny.
