A powerful soul vocalist, Yemi over recent years Yemi Bolatiwa has been heard on BBC Radio 1 & Kiss FM, with performances and featured on BBC Introducing Manchester, BBC Radio Manchester and BBC 1Xtra singing her confessional tracks and as co-writer on many underground electronic releases. The London-born soul singer hails proudly from the Manchester live music scene, versatile and vocally finessed. She’s taken her original live show in many forms across the country since 2018 minus the unprecedented downtime and has revived her live band since 2021 with new songs and new dynamics blending soul, RnB and bass music.

For this extra special Band on the Wall show, the singer presents her music elevated with orchestral strings and special guest musicians from the Manchester scene. BBF is her latest single (Black British Female) and this show will tell this story through live electronic and bass music influenced soul and confessional RnB, expect new unheard songs and renditions of her music.

After being long-listed for Glastonbury’s emerging talent competition in 2020 Yemi’s live act has been enhanced and taken to the next level.
